Theatre record and scrap book, 1904-1908.

Scrapbook documenting the owner's theatre experiences viewing farces, comedies, romances, plays, vaudeville acts, and minstrel shows, Dec. 28, 1904-Oct. 23, 1908. After 3 blank index pages, there is a set of several pages to document each performance. The first page has blank areas for the play's title, theatre in which the performance occurred, date of performance, guests names, seats, impressions of the performance, and criticisms of performers, or other notations. Across from that page is a page on which the program is pasted. Additional pages have space to paste related newspaper clippings or images of performers. The unknown owner usually attended theatre with his/her father, Standford, and Emma. Theatres visited included: the Academy of Music in Saginaw, Temple, Detroit Opera House, and Jeffers Theatre; Grand Opera House and Orchestra Hall in Chicago; Chestnut Street Opera House, Broad Street, Lyric, Keiths, and Walnut Street theatres in Philadelphia; the Manhattan, Garrick, Belasco, and Hackett theatres in New York; and the Hot Springs (Ark.) Theatre. The v. has a red cover with "Theatre Record" in gold letters.
